This image shows heating cables installed directly on to a well insulated screed base in a conservatory. Cables are firmly attached to the floor using special adhesives and tapes prior to application of a latex smoothing compound to embed and protect the heating cables prior to and during tiling. Cables are spaced at 6.5cm intervals thus providing a heat out put of 165w/msq.

The above cable installation with the Latex smoothing compound applied. Once dry the floor is ready for tiling.

Partial installation of an under tile cable system on to an insulated screed floor. The floor area is measured and divided by the cable length to find required spacing before cables are laid and taped to the floor prior to tiling or applying a latex levelling screed.

This photo shows a partialy installed cable system on top of an insulated screed in the foreground with a latex levelled floor ready for tiling to the rear. The latex leveling screed is applied to protect and embed the heating cables prior to and during tiling. Latex screed is not essential to the operation of the heating system but Ambient carry out this work as part of our installation process.

 The fully programmable digital thermostat supplied and installed by Ambient is tried and tested and in our opinion is far supperior to others available at similar cost.  All control buttons are discreetly hidden behind the hinged side panels. Maximum switched load is 3.6kw and versions are available to sense floor temperature or combined floor and air ambient temperatures.

 Carbon foil installations for heating laminate or hardwood floors. This picture shows partial installation of the Depron insulation on to a fully dry concrete screed. Depron can also be used on chipboard and floor board bases. Ambient install 2 x 6mm layers of depron as standard to ensure a responsive and economical heating system.

Foils are now installed and cold tail supply cables routed back to main connection area. Foils are taped down at the ends to prevent movement prior to the final vapour barrier being installed.

The completed installation now ready for application of wood laminate or floating hardwood floor. No additional insulation or sound dedening is required as the Depron previously installed acts as an insulator for the whole floor.
