Cables generally offer a more flexible electric underfloor heating solution in terms of both area coverage and designed watts per m². Mat kits provide a faster installation and greater range of heat output.

Underfloor Heating for Laminate And Wood Floors

State of the art electric underfloor heating systems for use beneath laminate or engineered wood floors. Foil Mat Systems (ThermoLAM) incorporates a narrow diameter heating cable embeded within a laminated foil mat, this foil sheet provides earth screening in compliance with 17th edition wiring regs thus enabling use within bathrooms and other wet areas.

Under Timber Heating

All timber floors including floor boards, chipboard or plywood must be assessed to confirm their structural integrity and suitability for tiling prior to the installation of electric underfloor heating. Floorboards will always require the provision of insulated tile backing boards prior to heating being installed. Electric underfloor heating mats and cables can be fitted directly to ply-wood and moisture proof chipboard provided the floor is treated with a suitable priming solution. The design will vary from 100w/m² to 150w/m² dependent upon the specification of the floor base.

Designed for electric underfloor heating installations within or beneath the floor screed. Heavy duty 6mm diameter twin wire earth screened cables supplied with full range of fixing accessories. Used as a cost effective primary heating solution in new build projects.
